Around two thousand years ago in a town called Nazareth, there was a young woman called Mary. She was engaged to be married to a carpenter named Joseph. Click to continue
One day, an angel appeared to Mary and told her she had been chosen to have a special baby and to call him Jesus. Click to continue
Soon after the Angel’s visit, Mary and Joseph were married. It was at this time that they were ordered to go on a long journey to Bethlehem to pay a special tax. Mary’s baby was soon to be born and she was worried. Click to continue
At last, Mary and Joseph arrived in Bethlehem. It was crowded with people and they couldn’t find anywhere to stay. There was no room for them. Click to continue
Eventually, a very kind innkeeper said that he had a stable that Mary and Joseph could rest in. Click to continue
A few hours later when night fell, Mary gave birth to her baby Jesus in the stable. She wrapped him in cloth. Click to continue
Meanwhile, some shepherds were tending to their sheep when a bright light lit up the sky. They were very afraid. Click to continue
It was an angel sent from God. The angel explained that they should not be afraid and that the son of God had been born in Bethlehem. Click to continue
The shepherds wanted to go and see the baby. When they reached the stable in Bethlehem, they were filled with joy. They worshipped him. Click to continue
Far away in the East, three wise men saw a new star shining in the sky. They studied stars and knew that for each new star that appeared, it meant that a new ruler had been born. Click to continue
The wise men decided to find the new ruler and set off to visit the baby. They followed the star to Bethlehem where they found Jesus. Here, they gave him gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Click to continue
Meanwhile, back in Nazareth, the King Herod had heard the news. He was a cruel and nasty king and jealous of the baby Jesus. He ordered that Jesus be killed. Click to continue
The Angel visited Mary and Joseph to warn them that Herod was looking for Jesus. They left Bethlehem right away and Jesus was safe. Click to continue
