Guidelines for Costing(for discussion) Definitions for alignment with MECO project costing • Design costs (not in GA study) • Pertain to costs related to design and analysis of the delivered items • Examples are conductor design, field solution, quench analysis, structural analysis, and creating all drawings of the delivered items. • Manufacturing costs (~ GA study) • Pertain to all manufacturing and manufacturing support costs through final leak-checking and shipping the cryostats. • These costs include: • Tooling design, tooling drawings and tooling fabrication. • Writing manufacturing and QA procedures for each work station • Work performed at each work station, whether by trade labor, engineering or management. • Installation and commissioning costs (not in GA study) • Pertain to all work in the BNL experimental hall Brad Smith GA Industrial Study Kickoff Guidelines for Costing
