Mr. Martin • I am beginning my 22nd year here at Sexton. • Before that I spent 1 ½ years at Dwight Rich (now STEM) • I grew up in Flushing. • Attended U of M – Flint • Student taught at Flint Northwestern.
Mr. Martin • I am married and have three sons. • My oldest son is 20 and lives in Lansing. • My twins are seniors this year. • They attend Grand Ledge & LCC • One is in law enforcement • The other is studying at Potter Park Zoo
Mr. Martin • Over the years I have taught mainly math & computer science. • I have also taught • Yearbook (4 years, 2006 -2009) • TV/Video production (6 years?) • Econ, World History (1 year)
First Day Activity • Label a piece of lined paper with your name, hour and date in the upper right corner. • In the center label the paper DAY 1 • (1) In 3-4 sentences describe your dream job. You’ll be doing this dream job at about age 50. • (2) What training will you need to make this happen?
First Day Activity • (3) Pick a number, write it down. Double it, write that down. • You just did algebra! • (4) Find someone in this room that you know but didn’t really see this summer. Catch up. Write down their name and a few words about what they did.
First Day Activity • (5) Find someone in this room that you don’t know, write down their name and introduce yourself. • Five levels of success. • (6) Which level do you think you’re at? Why? • Personal property.

November 4th would be 1104) • (8) Find the sum and write it down. • (9) Find the difference and write it down. • (10) Find the product and write it down. • (11) Find the quotient and write it down.
