School Schedule • First class begins at 7:55AM • 7 Classes • 4 Minutes for Passing • 30 Minutes for Lunch • Dismissal is at 2:40PM • Bell Schedule is in the Agenda Book
Student Academic Progress • Please Check Edline • Grades will be posted by ID number inside/outside each classroom every two weeks. • Interim Reports are posted on Edline at the midway point of each quarter. • Contact the Teacher

Attendance • Doors open at 7:30AM • All students are expected to be in class ready to begin by 7:55AM • Dismissal at 2:40PM • Late • Check in the main office before going to class • Absences • Call the office morning of absence OR Send email to EMSAttendance@mcpsmd.org • Please send note with student upon return
Visiting Eastern • Parents and Guardians are welcome any time / any day Join your student for lunch Sit in on a class • Please sign-in in the main office upon arrival
After-school Activities • Activities Begin September 10 • Sports, Clubs, Academic Support • Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays • Activity Buses are available • Information will be distributed to all students
How Can You Support Your Student’s Success • Support students attendance everyday and on time • Monitor Agenda Book • Quiet Place for Homework • Review Completed Homework • Review academic progress • Communicate concerns with teacher and/or counselor • Monitor behaviors outside of school • Ask a lot of questions • Get to know their friends • Monitor internet usage • Be their PARENT and be our PARTNER
