  1. Sustainable Approaches to Manage and Dispose Solid Waste =========================================================================== Can you imagine how much solid waste a country with 1.44 billion population produces? A whopping 62 million tonnes! That’s the amount of solid waste India produces every year! Unfortunately, out of these 62 million tonnes, only 12 million tonnes are treated, and the remaining 31 million tonnes end up in landfills. According to experts, by 2030, the amount of solid waste is expected to rise to 165 million tonnes annually because of consumption patterns and rapid economic growth. India has started investing significantly in solid waste treatment plant to overcome this challenge. On the other hand, we can opt for some sustainable approaches to manage and dispose of solid wastes to save Mother Earth. Let’s begin by understanding the three R’s: Recycle Recycling is the best way to reduce solid waste from your home and is eco-friendly. Materials like glass, aluminum, paper, and plastic can be recycled or reused repeatedly.

  2. Suppose you want to recycle any products and sort household and commercial items into several categories. Then, these materials are sent to the recycling plant to be turned into new products. Reduction and Reusing of Waste Reducing waste simply means minimizing or eliminating the number of materials used from the start. To begin your waste reduction journey, start by using reusable serving utensils and trays instead of disposable ones. Also, practice the ‘less is more’ approach, as it can help manage waste effectively. If everyone started working on that thought, there would be no need for municipal solid waste processing plants anymore. Another eco-friendly method is reuse, which means using the same material repeatedly in its current form. Some household items, such as jars, plastic bags, water bottles, etc., can be reused in many different ways instead of ending up in landfills. When you see at those things, it clearly indicates that it can be reused to solve everyday problems and fulfill our needs. In the end, these methods can help manage solid waste in your home and surroundings. However, to manage solid waste at a larger level, you will need solid waste treatment plants and other equipment from Convotech Engineering LLP.
