  3. Example of Irony? • It would be ironic for a police officer to lose his drivers license because of unpaid parking tickets.

  4. Example of Irony? • The Titanic was promoted as being 100% unsinkable, but it sank on it’s maiden voyage.

  5. Example of Irony? In Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, Romeo kills himself because he thinks Juliet is dead, but in fact, she is just sleeping. When Juliet wakes and finds Romeo dead, she then kills herself.
