Peanut Brittle By: Jillian
Paragraph 1 • In about 1890 a woman who lived in New England was eating peanut taffy. She realized she was almost out of the taffy. She made some more. She wasn’t paying attention because her dog barked, so she had to get her dog from outside. She then realized that she over-cooked her taffy. It came out delicious but very brittle. The only conclusion she came to was to call it, “Peanut Brittle”!
Paragraph 2 • In about 1890 a woman from New England [no one knows her name] was making peanut taffy.
