Areas in the vicinity of Boulder, Colo., are being hit by severe flash flooding early Thursday that has led to evacuations and killed at least one person. Torrential rains have caused what the National Weather Service has said is an "extremely dangerous and life threatening situation." The Weather Service said early Thursday that more than four inches of rain had fallen in some areas since noon Wednesday. one person was killed when a structure collapsed in Jamestown, but that she didn't have any other details because rescuers haven't reached the scene. Multiple homes in the area have collapsed, there are unconfirmed reports that a local dam had collapsed, and mudslides and rockslides have hit several locations.
