  4. President Abraham Lincoln was re elected as the President of the United States of America. He was elected a couple months before the end of the civil war . (1)

  5. Abraham Lincoln gave his second inauguration in DC. During that Booth was right above Lincoln and had the chance to kill him. (1)

  6. Richmond Virginia, the capital of the Confederate states of America fell to union forces. Robert E Lee was the General at the time. (2)

  7. John Wilkes Booth leaves New York and goes to Washington DC. In New York he regretted not killing Lincoln during his second inaugural address. (4) New York Washington DC

  8. General Robert E Lee and his army surrender to the union. He surrendered to General Ulysses Grant at Appomattox. (5)

  9. Lincoln appeared at a second story window of the White House to greet celebrating citizens. During this Booth yelled and threatened to kill him while in the crowd. (5)

  10. A torchlight of thousands assembled on the driveway of the White House. The people were celebrating the South's surrender. (7)

  11. President Lincoln was shot in the head. The shooter was John Wilkes Booth in Fords Theater. (41)

  12. Secretary of State William Seward was stabbed in the face. The stabber was Lewis Powell and he also severely injured Williams son Frederick. (55)

  13. Lincolns womb causes him to die from the bullet that was unlogged in his brain. He died at 7:22 am in the Peterson House. (102)

  14. Doctor Samuel Mudd heard about the Cavalry being in town. From that he made Booth and Harold leave his farm. (112)

  15. America mourns the death of the president. By remembering him and honoring him as an American hero. (115-116)

  16. Cox helps Booth and Harold by taking them in. He gave them food, water and a roof to stay under. (116)

  17. Thomas Jones will help Booth and Harold to live in the woods. He was sent by Cox to help them. (117-118)

  18. Jones helps Booth and Harold to stay in the woods. Everyday he brings food, water and newspapers to them. (119)

  19. Union troops went to Mary Surratt's boarding house. While there they arrested everyone there including Lewis Powell who showed up. (130-131)

  20. Three conspirators were also arrested this day. Those man were Sam Arnold, Michel O’Laughen and Edmond Spangler. (134-135) Arnold Spangler O’Laughen

  21. This is the day of President Abraham Lincolns funeral. Thousands of people showed up to see the dead President. (140)

  22. David Harold and John Wilkes Booth sleep under a roof. They stayed in The Garrets farm in Virginia. (155)

  23. John Wilkes Booth was shot in the neck by Boston Corbett. He was shot inside the Garrets burning tobacco barn. (173)
