Admissions Policies • Must Meet CHE Course Guidelines (Two years of the same foreign language is required.) • SAT/ACT Requirements • 800 SAT (Critical Reading + Math) • 17 ACT Composite Score • GPA • 3.0 with minimum test scores • Sliding scale for other students
Admissions Timelines • Rolling Admissions Policy • Admitting now for the Fall of 2013 • Will process application within 5 to 7 business days (if all materials are here) • Matriculation Deposit • $107 • Refundable until May 1, 2013 • Also serves as Student’s Orientation Fee
Visit, Visit, Visit Fall Open House Dates Saturday, October 20th Saturday, November 10th Tours Weekdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Other times by appointment
Scholarship Opportunities -Distinction Scholars • $1,000 annually • 1100 SAT or 24 ACT and 3.0 GPA • Will be awarded after admission to all who qualify until March 15th . Awarded based on availability after that date. • Application and Interview not required
Scholarship Opportunities -Robert E. McNair Scholars • Full tuition, room and board (All expenses paid) • 1100 SAT or 24 ACT and 3.0 GPA • Study abroad and honors housing included • Interest in public service, broadly defined • Must be a SC resident • Complete McNair application online • Finalists compete by invitation only • Will award up to 3 Scholarships for 2013 • Deadline is November 19, 2012
Scholarship Opportunities - Patriot Scholars • $5,000 each year • 1100 SAT or 24 ACT and 3.0 GPA • Will award up to 15 Scholarships • Must be invited to interview on campus (required) • Renewable with 30 credit hours and a 3.0 GPA
Scholarship Opportunities - Education Fellow • $5,000 per year • 1100 SAT or 24 ACT and 3.0 GPA • Must be part of the Teacher Cadet Program in SC (Partner High School’s given first preference) • Interview required • One scholar named each year
Scholarship Opportunities - Fellows Scholars • $1,500 to $2,500 per year • 1100 SAT or 24 ACT and 3.0 GPA • Apply online • Campus interview required
General Academic ScholarshipReminders • On campus interviews are required for all scholarships except the Distinction Scholarships. • Deadline to apply for scholarships is March 15th of each year except the McNair Scholarships. That deadline is November 19, 2012. • 100% of students who came for on campus interviews increased their $1,000 Distinction Scholarships by at least $500. • Participation in the Honors Program and Honors Housing is recommended.
