12. Parent Portal PIDM Password Project • Alliteration is cool! • Information on SOAFOLK to APAXREF • Used Nolij to create PIDMs and avoid dups. • Went direclty to students with questions

Parent Portal PIDM Password Project (Cont.) • “Safe Harbor Standards” compliance built in • LIN/PIN mailer to each individual parent • Parent, Step parent, non custodial parent, guardian grandparent all included • Student can add or delete from list • No access to Parent tab until student grants rights.

14. The forms for a student to enable Parent Access may be found in the Banner tab on the portal under “Student Services and Financial Aid” tab/ menu under “Parent Access.”

15. Parent Screens • As the student you may grant access to your parents through the Banner tab on the LU portal or by using the secure area login. Once there select the Parent Access from your Student Services and Financial Aid menu. Each parent that you have detailed on your admission application will be listed. Select each listed parent one at a time and enable or leave disabled the access for each parent. The access menu will include the following options: • Financial aid records – checklist, aid transcript, year aid, records holds, financial aid notes, awards, academic progress, cost of attendance and current status. • Student Records – mid term grades, final grades, academic transcript • Current and former class schedules • Address information • Accounts receivable term fee assessment and historical account standing

16. Welcome Screen • Parents get access to the Banner Tab by clicking the Click Here under My Information: • NO PARENTS TAB WILL APPEAR IF THE STUDENT HAS NOT GRANTED ANY MENU ACCESS.

18. Parents will have access to each menu item their child has enabled. If nothing is enabled no menu will appear.
