  1. Background As one in SBC industry, we need great courage to move forward. Every time when the market stagnates, it will bring us deep thought. Though we feel helpless when the market returns, we still take the consequences. In 2017, we painfully experienced the boom collapsed, new things and new industry like "a flash in the pan". We experienced the effort and insistence in the promotion of new production. Fortunately, we are still active in the industry this year. During a period of "development" and "change", the entire SBC industry chain is given too much expectation. The highway and rail traffic became the main motivation to pull the SBC demand under the bonus policy. However, It’s difficult for the terminal applications development to meet with SBC rapid expansion. The China SBC industry will still faces sharp supply and demand contradiction in the future. At the same time, the promotion for the new products was slow and faces with many difficulties because of the technical and cost factors. Shoes material technology still has the potential to make progress, but a lot of technologies still need to be mature. And terminal shoe industry needs industrial upgrading and transformation. The price of SEBS will inevitably go down due to the imbalance between supply and demand. Will it help the replacement of traditional plastic by the TPE in the cost? There is still lots of opportunities for development though the contradiction of the industrial chain become obvious.
