  2. What does it mean to embed a quote? • “weaving” a quote through the sentences instead of just awkwardly “plopping” them into a paragraph.

  3. example Erich Maria Remarque’s novel All Quiet on the Western Front gives readers a vivid, first-hand account of Paul and his comrades’ lives on the front lines. “The air becomes acrid with the smoke of the guns and the fog.
