可數名詞 Count Nouns 英文裡不可數名詞由於不能計數，絕大多數是以單數形式出現。但是可數名詞是可以計數的，一定會有單複數的區別。切記可數名詞一定要有下面任一個附屬品，絕對不會單獨出現喔。

不可數名詞 Non-count Nouns  • 泛指因不同容器,會改變其形狀的不可數名詞,例如:液體物質coke, soda, milk, tea, juice, soup, water, ink, coffee, paint • 因製造成份影響,成為不可數名詞的固體,例如:粉筆,鐵,錫等chalk, bread, iron, silver, gold, tin, soap, paper • 因形狀太小，根本無法計數 • dirt, dust, grass, hair, rice, salt, sugar

不可數名詞 Non-count Nouns  • 可隨意切取大小之不可數名詞,例如: string 線, meat肉, wood木頭等。切記如果指肉量則為不可數，例如fish，但如果有許多種魚，則可說fishes. • 大自然物質,例如:雨,雪等不可數名詞,例如rain, snow, dust, mud, sand, grass, smoke, fire • 其他抽象名詞例如 happiness, sadness, research, evidence, safety, beauty, knowledge

如何計數Non-count Nouns • 用容器或計數單位，就變成可數了。 • I’d like a glass of water. • Please give me two bottles of wine. • 如果不用確實計數單位，也可以用some, a lot of, a great deal of... • Could I have some water please? • He gave mea great deal of advice before my interview. • There’s a lot of furniturein this house.

Quantifiers He has a great number of friends. He has a great deal of money. There are many books on the shelf. There is much water in the tank. Only few can appreciate this music. I have very little money left.

不可數可數 • 有些字英文裡原不可數，但特定意思即可數，例如 She has long blond hair My father's getting a few grey hairs now Would you like some juice? Yes, a small orange juice, please. Yes, two large cokes. There’s so much food in the fridge. I like all kinds of foods. • 因為速食店飲料的容量,體積固定(small, medium, large),故變為可數名詞用法。
