  1. Taboo A Thinking game

  2. Step 1 • You will be placed in a group of four people • Each group is in competition with the other group. • You work together as a group. Do not let the other groups hear what you say or write.

  3. Step 2 • Your teacher will provide you with a key word card and five sheets of paper. • Write one key word on each of the strips of paper. Key word

  4. Step 3 • In your group you must then think of at least 10 taboo words to write under the key words. • The object of the game is to try and stop the other team from guessing the key words. • Work as a team, complete a one key word sheet,together one at a time. Key word

  5. Step 4 • The sheets are completed. The other teams must now guess the key word on each sheet. • They can not use any of the taboo words. The harder you think the easier the win!

  6. Rules • When trying to guess the Key word. You must not use rhyming words or phrases like “it sounds like”. • The judge has the final say. • You must not use any taboo words or the key words.

  7. Step 5 playing • One member of your team will now act as judge. • The judge carefully takes the slips to another team. • One member of the other team will see the slips ( key words and taboo words) The describer then tries to describe the key words to the members of the group. • The judge keeps score. Group B get a point if the guess correctly. The judge and group A if they are unable to guess the key word. Describer Group B Guessing Pupils group B
