What do we want our students to retain for years into the future? • Environment • This AoI was chosen so that we can consider how the Chinese environment influences the types of homes and towns that people in China live in. • Our environment and culture has a strong influence on where and how we choose to live. MYP unit question What are the similarities and differences between Chinese and English homes and towns?

Learning objectives: • ALL of you will be able to use ‘because’ to give a reason for an opinion. • MOST of you will be able to describe three places you like going to in town and why. • SOME of you will be able to use time phrases to explain where and when you go to a place and why, and use the past tense to say what you did yesterday.

  9. 该你了！ 今天的题目：Giving reasons for opinions 1. Write out today’s objective and the date. 2. Write out the new word for ‘because’ – 第四十四页 3. Complete 练习三, 阅读 – 用英文写。 EXT：What sentence can you come up with using any of the vocab we have previously learnt to give an opinion and a reason why? Try to use different vocab and reasons than ones we have already seen. The more interesting the better!
