SEPEP Emily, Emma, Steph, Maddi and Kiah
KEMES SEPEP only works if everyone works as a team and nobody is lazy or doesn’t give it their all. All of the team members have complete their jobs and maybe help out others when they are in need. A team isn’t a team without a team name and a logo. Between the General Manager and the Statistician, the team name and logo is thought up and created. The name of our team is KEMES, which represents each member of our team with the first letters of each of our names put together to make a word. Our team logo is a sun shape next to the word KEMES with the color red highlighting parts of the logo. MY PERSONAL SEPEP ROLE My role in SEPEP is the Statistician. As the statistician, it is my role to mainly keep track of each of the teams statistics, especially my own. Each round that we are on duty team, it is my job to keep track of the players throws, catches, intercepts and goals. I am to give the statistics to the other teams statisticians so they can organise their own team’s display. I am also to collect my team’s statistics from the other statisticians to put on my own team’s display. My role is not a major part of the SEPEP team but without the Statistician, there would be nothing to keep track of and the game wouldn’t be as organised as it is. The Statistician gives the game meaning because without score, the game has no aim and there is not much reason to continue other than just playing the game over and over again. I believe that the game could continue without the Statistician but that would not be a worthwhile or enjoyable game to play.
SUMMARY OF THE SEPEP TEAM The SEPEP needs everyone of the members to put in their all to make it work. Each of the members need to participate in the game for the team to do well in a practical sense and each of the members need to do there role of the team for it to work in a theory sense. The power in the SEPEP team lies in each of the members as all of the different jobs are different and each of the members specialise in a particular area. The coach has power in motivating the team to do their best in the game and assist them in how to improve their skills. They are technically the leader of the team but they are to use everyone’s opinions as if they were at the same level of power as you when making decisions that involve the entire team which leads me to come to the conclusion that the coach is more the voice of the team rather that the leader. The rest of the roles of SEPEP all have the power of keeping the business aspects of the team and keeping that organised and easy for each of the member to have access to that. For example the media/publicity role has power in promoting the team and letting the rest of the community know of the progress that they are making. The Statistician/Records Officer has power in keeping all of the statistics up to date with all the members of the team and the other statisticians of the other teams. Finally the general manager is in power of the entire game because without their work, the structure of the game wouldn’t exist.
