Graphical Monitoring • Graphical Monitoring is a way to display, log, print and save live engine data at a specified sampling rate. • Graphical Monitoring visually display and plots multiple parameters into a graphical display. • Parameters can be added or removed during graphical monitoring. • Graphical data can be saved, exported or imported.
Starting Graphical Monitoring • While in Data Monitor/Logger, • start Graphical Monitoring by • any of the following ways: • Toolbar icon • Tools menu • Right-click menu Toolbar icon Tools menu Right-click menu
Setup – Selecting Parameters Select a parameter from Available Groups Click Add Up to six parameters can be added
Setup – Removing Parameters To Remove a parameter: Select the parameter from the Selected Parameters list Click Remove
Setup – Setting the Sampling Rate • To set the Sampling Rate: • Set the value • Select milliseconds, • seconds, minutes • or hours Click OK to open Graphical Monitoring
Toolbar Icons – Play/Reset Graphing Select Play\Reset View to start or reset Graphical Monitoring
Toolbar Icons - Pause Graphing Select Pause to pause Graphical Monitoring
Toolbar Icons - Axes Scrolling Select Axes Zoom to zoom along the X or Y Axes Select Axes Scroll to scroll along the X or Y Axes Scroll to the Right to view the graph at different times Scroll to the Left to view the graph at different times
Toolbar Icons - Zooming Use the Zoom Box to select a section for zooming • To Zoom on graph: • Zoom In • Zoom Out
Toolbar Icons – Add/Remove Parameters • Use the Toolbar icons to: • Add\Remove Parameters • Move the Data Cursor to display • the value of the data point on the graph
Toolbar Icons – Save As Picture Page Setup Use the Toolbar icon to Save As a Picture file
Toolbar Icons – Save As Picture Continued • Picture files are saved on the drive where • INSITE™ is installed (e.g. C:\Intelect\INSITE\Logs) • The file can be saved to another drive/folder location • by using the drop down arrow Click Save Select the file format Enter the File Name
File Menu • Use the File menu to: • Import a Log file • Save As a Picture file • Save or Export a file • Print Preview the graph • Print the graph • Exit from Graphical Monitoring
Saving/Exporting Files • Exported files are saved in the • following format: • ELF - this file format allows the data to be imported and • viewed by Graphical Monitoring • CSV or TXT – these file formats can be opened by a • spreadsheet or text editor program
Edit Menu • Use the Edit menu to: • Add or Remove parameters • Set the Sampling Rate
View Menu • Use the View menu to set the graph view: • Units Graph – this combines parameters • that have the same unit of measure • Parameter Graph - this will monitor each parameter individually
Graphing Menu • Use the Graphing menu to: • Start Graphing • Stop Graphing
Setup - Importing a Log File Import an existing Log file
