Objectives of RCVIS • Provide road safety related stakeholders • with accurate, continuous and comprehensive data on road crashes and victims • for the purposes of • increased understanding of the current RS situation, • planning appropriate responses, • evaluating impact of current initiatives and • predicting the impact of future initiatives

The system has been set up under the existing structure of the government departments Previous Structure (2004-2010) Health Districts centers Traffic police Data transferred monthly in hard copy (RCVIS form) By appointed staff in MoH and MoI Operational Provincial police districts commissariat By HIB staff Provincial health departments Ministry of Interior ( Phnom Penh ) Ministry of Health Phnom Penh ( ) Handicap International Belgium RCVIS office in Phnom Penh (Data entering to report dissemination)
