  2. Purpose & scope • Current funding climate is grim, so….. • Share ideas about alternative means of funding pesticide safety programs • Not meant to be comprehensive • Not universally adaptable • May require policy, regulation, and/or law changes • No silver bullets

  3. Conventional funding • EPA, USDA, PMRA, State/Province funding • Charging for trainings • Adding development surcharge to training materials • Charging late fees and no show fees • Charging for manuals/internet delivery • Shipping & handling fees • Examination fees • Licensing & certification fees • Replacement card charges

  4. Educational material sales • Printed material to digital--manuals on CD-ROM • Video • VHS • DVD • Streaming • Training over the web • Online training tutorials • Streaming video of trainings • Developing/using national or regional manuals and/or exams
