  2. Vitamins: Good or Bad? • There has been much talk, especially in recent years, on whether or not taking daily vitamins is actually good for one’s body. • There was a recent article from CNN Health claiming that vitamins are a waste of money. Here it is: http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/16/health/multivitamins-studies/ • The 3 main reasons that people take vitamins: stopping heart attacks/cancer and improving brain function, were all tested by scientists in the recent study and found that they had no real effect or benefit.

  3. Vitamins: Good or Bad? • Another article from the Washington Post says different: http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/wellness/how-the-fit-stay-healthy-during-flu-season/2013/12/17/d620cebe-6284-11e3-a373-0f9f2d1c2b61_story.html • It claims that the right doses of vitamin C can help prevent disease and help during the sickness as well. • Additionally, vitamin A has been proven to improve the tightness of one’s skin and increase it’s natural glow.

  4. Exercise Supplements • Ask any weight lifter, runner, or athlete and they will tell you the same thing; whey protein is the key to muscle growth. • Taking whey protein, usually as a drink, within 30 minutes of physical activity has been tested and proven to increase muscle mass and definition. • Alternatively, lactose intolerant people can take pea protein to receive similar benefits.

  5. Final Verdict • While for many years it has seemed that vitamins were very helpful in a healthy persons diet, recently the tides have turned. Do a news search on vitamins and you will see the overwhelming majority claim that vitamins are a waste of money and don’t really help. • The real key to take out of this is that certain vitamins, with the right quantity and timing, can be helpful for your body, just don’t over do it or go in without doing your research.

  6. Final Verdict Cont. • When it comes to exercise supplements there is really only one real answer: TAKE WHEY PROTEIN. • If you are looking to gain size quickly, creatin can be a good option but it is best to only take it for short periods of time as it can be damaging over long periods.
