Introduction • A ladybird is a animal called a insect. An insect is a mini beast with 6 legs and two wings. It is red with white spots. • You are going to learn about how the ladybird changes from a baby to an adult. This is the life cycle of a ladybird. • There are about 5,000 different speicies of ladybirds.
Stage 1 - eggs • Ladybird eggs are football shaped. • The adult ladybird lays her eggs on leaves they are very small. Eggs ladybird
Stage 2 - larva • The larva emerges in 2 – 6 days. • They hatch and feed on aphids. larva
Stage 3 -pupa • The growing ladybird transforms into a pupa. • A ladybird does not have any spots when they come out of their pupa. • It stays in there for a week. pupa
