  3. In what forms are water found?

  4. Who/What needs water to survive? Plants Humans Animals

  5. Where do we find water? Oceans (97%) Rivers In the Air Ponds Lakes In the Ground

  6. Water is also found in the human body. Actually, our bodies are up to 75% water. • We need water to: • Digest food • Regulate body temperature • Carry away unnecessary or harmful substances • The average person needs 2-3 liters of water each day!

  7. How is water used? Humans and animals must drink water to survive, but water is also necessary for many other activities including: Cooking Bathing Household Cleaning

  8. Water is also used to: Grow Crops Sanitize our Food Transport Items by Ship or Boat

  9. All businesses need water to operate including Restaurants for cooking Steel Factories for cooling Hockey Rinks (because ice is water, after all!)

  10. Although water is plentiful on Earth, the supply in some areas is very scarce because a region is dry and there could be very little rainfall. But, clean water is also sometimes hard to find because of pollution. And, some people waste fresh water, also reducing the supply.

  11. So… it is very important to protect our water from harmful pollutants and conserve the supply, because we can’t survive without it!!
