Getting to know Gen Y Influential people, places & events
Getting to know Gen Y Special Gen Y traits
It starts with communication... Understanding how Gen Y communicates • Gen Y expects instant, constant communication. • In fact, Gen Y’ers are more accustomed to using digital and mobile • devices as their PRIMARY means of communication. • They are still learning and growing when it comes to business • etiquette and working with others. • Gen Y’ers do need to improve upon how they effectively engage, • interact, and communicate with others IN PERSON.
With that being said... The good news is... • Gen Y’ers do value collaborative and open environments. • You can create a common language • Let them know the communication style that you like best • They are going to rely on electronic communication. Are you • comfortable with that? • Understanding how they communicate. This is a “text • generation”
