Plot- The series ofeventsthat make up a story. There are fivestages.
Climax The FIVE Stages of Plot Rising Action Falling Action Exposition Resolution
Exposition Setting Characters Conflict • Here, the author introduces the:
Rising Action Obstacles/complications • The part of the story that introduces the: And builds: Suspense
Climax • The turning point in the story. In this part of the story, the conflict is at its most intense.
Falling Action • The part of the story where the author reveals the outcome of the climax. It also eases the tension andshows how the conflict is resolved.
Resolution • The part of the story that revealsthe final outcome andties up loose ends.
With your shoulder partner:Partner 1.) Tell the definitions of each of the five stages of plot. Partner 2.) What makes a good plot? What makes a bad plot?
5 Stages Of The Plot Exposition-Start of the story, includes setting and characters. the situation before the action starts. Rising Action- Series of conflicts in the story that lead to the climax. Climax- The turning point, the most intense moment (in action or mentally), the most important part of the plot. Falling ActionAll of the action/events that happen after the climax. Resolution-The conclusion, the end. Where all questions are answered, all loose ends are tied together.
