  9. The Old Town We canalso be proud of theoldest part of our city. Many buildingsthereweredesigned by Erich Mendelsohn. Thisfamousarchitectworkedalso for Albert Einstein.

  16. Events A lot of eventstake place inthe Old Town, especiallyinsummer – musical and theaterfestivals, folk events, variousfairs. In winter we have a spectacular fair called ‘Jarmark Warmiński’ (Warmian Fair). Alot of illuminations and icesculptureschangethe Old Town into a magical place.

Lastsummertheartistsand studentsfrom Olsztyn madea number of colorfullypaintedsculptures and puttheminvariousplacesinthe city as a specialkind of performance.
