Diploma Tracks at Plainfield High School All students will graduate with one or more of these State of Indiana diplomas: Core 40 All students in the class of 2022 will likely be required to take a Graduation Qualifying Exam in order to graduate with a Plainfield High School diploma. Details on that exam are forthcoming. Core 40 with Academic Honors Core 40 with Technical Honors
CORE 40 Diploma 40 Total Credits Required • English – 8 credits (2 credits each year) • Math – 6 credits (6 credits in grades 9-12) • Science – 6 credits • Social Studies – 6 credits • PE – 2 credits • Health – 1 credit • Additional courses – 11 credits (including 2 local requirements)
Academic Honors diploma 47 Total Credits Required • Minimum GPA of 2.7 • Semester grades of “C-” or higher • Complete all Core 40 diploma requirements, plus: • Other additional requirements as listed in the Rising Freshmen Pre-Enrollment Packet 2 additional credits in Math 2 credits in Fine Arts 6-8 credits in World Languages Please go to the PHS Guidance Website to view more scheduling information
Technical honors diploma 47 Total Credits Required • Minimum GPA of 2.7 • Semester grades of “C-” or higher • Complete all Core 40 diploma requirements, plus: • Other additional requirements as listed in the Rising Freshmen Pre-Enrollment Packet Earn 6 college credits through dual credit courses Earn 6 high school credits from the state’s approved College and Career Pathway courses OR Earn a State or Industry Approved Certification

Summer Course Information • 2018 Summer Session: June 5th – July 20th • Summer School is FREE! • Students can take up to 2 courses* • Registration will begin in January • (www.indianaonlineacademy.org) • Students must complete an Online Coursework Approval Form (available in January) AND register on IOA’s website • If you FAIL or do not complete the course you will get an ‘F’ on your PHS transcript Many students utilize IOA to earn credit in PE I, PE II, & Health. Students can also repeat courses via IOA in an effort to earn a higher grade!
