English Only Notebook also known as EON • You are required to maintain an paper and pocket notebook exclusively for your Language Arts class. • Your notebook should contain five dividers for the following: • Daily lecture and assigned reading notes (Cornell method). • All homework • Weekly Words (Vocabulary) handouts, notes and quizzes • Research – all notes, handouts, etc that you will obtain throughout the year. • Handouts – All miscellaneous handouts (i.e. grammar, etc) • You are required to have your notebook in class DAILY. • There will be spot EON checks (worth 20 pts), as well as a • 9-week EON grade worth 100 points. • You are required to have your EON no later than August 27th!

Lecture & Reading Notes A paper/pocket section to house all homework past & present. Homework Separate paper/pocket section for weekly vocab lists, worksheets & quizzes. Weekly Words aka Vocabulary Separate paper/pocket section for all notes and handouts regarding research. Research Separate pocket section for all miscellaneous Language Arts handouts. For example, grammar, writing assignments, etc. Handouts • The English Only Notebook (EON) is required for class each day. • It is specific to English-only. It will contain 5 specific sections. • It will be graded at least once each 9 weeks and is worth 100 points.
