Successes • ‘The mastery approach to the teaching has revolutionised the way that mathematics is being taught throughout the school and this has a very positive impact on the learning of all pupils, especially those pupils who have found mathematics difficult.’ • Appetite for change and the reinvigoration of experienced and sometimes disenchanted teachers- it has been transformational • Schools and teachers realising textbooks are not silver bullets - improving pedagogy and practice will be! • Number of applications from our region for mastery specialist, TRG and TfM opportunities and continues to increase • Coherence between maths hubs, TSAs, LAs, and OAs
