NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT GMS81C4040/87C4060 8-BIT CMOS SINGLE CHIP MICROCONTROLLER INTRODUCTION : GMS81C4040/87C4060 is a single chip microcomputer designed with CMOS silicon gate technology. It is housed in a 52-pin shrink plastic molded DIP. This single chip microcomputer is useful for the high-tech channel selection system for TV. WHAT IS IT? The GMS81C4040/87C4060 is based on the GMS800 Series 8-bit CPU core. In addition to such basic components as ROM(EPROM), RAM, and I/O ports, they integrate on the single chip on-screen display function, I2C bus interface, 14-bit PWM generator for controlling a tuner, remote signal receiving circuit, A/D converter, and watchdog timer.   3. WHO USES IT? HEI’s 8-bit Microcontrollers(GMS81C4040/87C4060) can be used in TV application. Especially, major market of the devices is mid-end TV for PAL. GMS81C4040/87C4060 is under mass production and supply to LGE-TV and under S/W development by big customer in Korea, India, Malaysia. FPO(Factory Programmed OTP) : GMS87C4060 can be delivered as FPO Product. It is convenient for user to reduce writing time in Mass-Production.
