Dorcas Aid & J29 Community Care, two charities have partnered together to raise funds for needy children from 2 homes
Climbing For Kids Campaign • The Chairman of Dorcas Aid, David O’Brien, and his climbing partner Justin Stevens will attempt to summit Mt Mera in the Himalayas • David & Justin are challenging the public to sponsor them • Sponsorships will go toward supporting the two children’s homes
The Challenge! • Trip duration 18 days • Height: 6 476m • Grade 5 climb
Our Challenge • Sponsor David & Justin for each metre they climb: • The climb starts in Lukla (Nepal) at 2800m • They will attempt to summit at 6 476m • David & Justin need to climb 3 676m • Will you sponsor David & Justin? • Finances will go directly to support the two children’s homes • The funds will be split equally between the 2 homes
The Two Homes An AFM Welfare Department home in Kempton Park for babies & toddlers with special needs; some have been abandoned, others have been abused, are disabled or are HIV positive The J29 Safe House in Mayberry Park. A home to accommodate school going children in crisis, without parents or suitable care givers
