  1. Underprivileged Children Need Protection From Child Labour Underprivileged children in India are particularly vulnerable to the affliction of child labour. This illegal practice deprives children of their childhood, education, and many other basic rights. It is a harsh reality that a significant number of children in India are working in hazardous and exploitative conditions, which are detrimental to their physical and mental health. Child labour in India is a severe problem, as there are more than 10 million working children under the age of 14 in India (Census 2011). These children are often from marginalised communities, where they are forced to work in

  2. industries such as agriculture, construction, and domestic work. The children are subjected to long hours of work, minimal wages, and unsafe working conditions. Child labour is not only illegal but also a violation of children's fundamental rights. The government of India has taken several measures to tackle the issue of child labour. The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, prohibits the employment of children under the age of 14 in hazardous industries. The government has also launched various schemes to rehabilitate children who are rescued from child labour. However, despite these measures, it remains a significant problem in India. The problem of child labour in India can only be solved by collective efforts from the government, civil society, and the private sector. There is a need for a concerted effort to eradicate child labour from India's social fabric. It is essential to create awareness among parents and communities about the harmful effects of child labour. Children must be encouraged to attend school, and their families should be provided with financial support to ensure that they are not forced to send their children to work. It is time to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards child labour. The government, civil society organisations, and individuals must work together to address this issue by providing support to families living in poverty, enforcing child labour laws, raising awareness about the importance of education, and ensuring that every child has access to a quality education. Donations in India can also help protect underprivileged children from the harmful effects of child labour. CRY, one of the most trusted non-profit
