  1. Design and Detailed Plan for In Vacuum Diamond Sensor for PHIL and ATF2 S. Liu, P. Bambade, F. Bogard, P. Cornebise, I. Khvastnov, H. Monard, C. Sylvia FJPPL-FKPPL Workshop on ATF2 Accelerator R&D, Annecy, 17-19 Mar., 2014

  2. Contents • Planned location of diamond detector at PHIL and ATF2 • Expected signal range @ATF2 • Design for electronics • Design for mechanics • Status of preparation for mechanics • Summary and Future Plan

  3. ATF2 PHIL Diamond Detector Same "plug compatible" design for PHIL and ATF2: fabrication will be completed in April 2014 before testing in May-June at PHIL.

  4. Expected Signal Range @ ATF2 • Tested signal ranged @ PHIL with 4.5X4.5mm2 diamond pad • -> 11fC (with 40dB amplifier) to 1μC (with 12dB attenuator) New design with 4 strips for diamond detector in vacuum

  8. Summary and Future Plan • The design for diamond detector for vacuum is done and the order for 2 first units was sent in Feb. 2014, and two more units will be delivered in 2015; • One set of mechanics for diamond detector in vacuum is ready and has been tested at LAL, it will be installed at PHIL for diamond tests in April; • The components for the second set are delivered, except for the central vacuum chamber, which will be built by KEK; • Holder for diamond detector will be ordered and fabricated soon; • Fabrication of diamond detector for vacuum will be completed in April 2014 before testing in May-June at PHIL and installation at ATF2 in autumn. 11
