The current position of CEIAG Careers Guidance moves to the National Careers Service - merging the roles of Connexions, Connexions Direct and Next Steps by April 2012. Schools will have greater freedom and autonomy on how CEIAG is delivered in their school but have a duty to provide independent careers guidance. Colleges responsibility will remain the same
Connexions Direct (13-19 & up to 25 LDD) Next Step Next Step and Connexions Direct (all ages) Universal offer to Schools & Colleges Connexions (13-19 & up to 25 LDD) Schools & Colleges (Y9-11 all students)
Kent Transition Connexions School & College universal service Contracts will run until 31st August 2012 DfE guidance will be released in Jan 2012, providing information on securing ‘independent’ and ‘impartial’ advice. Schools & colleges have a statutory responsibility to secure ‘Independent’ and ‘Impartial’ advice.
