  29. CONCLUSIONES 4. La proteinuria es el mayor factor de progresión y morbimortalidad cardiovascular. El control de la proteinuria y de la HTA reduce mortalidad en el paciente anciano y se debe controlar reduciendo la HTA nocturna, y la indicación terapéutica es administrar calcioantagonistas y diuréticos. 1. El envejecimiento no condiciona, de forma inexorable, la pérdida de función renal. La RFR se puede mantener hasta los 80 años. 2. El mecanismo patogénico parece ligado a la combinación estrés oxidativo-senescencia celular-deficiencia de Klotho-inflamación crónica y depleción podocitaria 3. Descenso del eFG, sin otros datos de lesión estructural, no implica ERC. Se debería establecer la clasificación de ERC, incluyendo la existencia de lesión estructural
