Community Supportive Living – The Right thing to do…. • All adults, whether married or single, shall make the choices about where they live, and the people with whom they will live. The preferences of each individuals should guide all aspects of the selection of housing, including the neighborhood, and whether the individual will live alone, with their family, roommates, extended family spouses or friends. • Individuals with disabilities, like other young adults leaving high school/college select their roommates/housemates and rent or own their own home. • Elderly individuals desire to stay in their neighborhoods, in their own home, where they have built/created a life for the last 30+ years.
