Research • http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends • Database that shows how many times a chosen topic is mentioned in an online Google search, and how the search frequency is associated with the number of news articles about the same topic. • Excellent source for classroom discussion. • Like other Google sites, search options are not filtered.

Teacher Resources • http://cooltoolsforschools.wikispaces.com/ • Numerous websites organized into categories for use by teachers and students • REMEMBER: check the Terms of Use/Service and Privacy Policy at the bottom of each site for information specific to that site • Just because the site is open for you doesn’t necessarily mean it’s open for students!

Teacher Resources • http://www.4teachers.org/ • Online resources for teachers such as ready-to-use quizzes, rubrics, checklists, etc. • Teachers use templates that can be customized for individual needs. • Account creation is not required, but a free account will allow you to “store” templates that you create.
