  1. God Came Down – a Judgement of Grace - Genesis 11:1-9 • But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building… (Genesis 11:5)

  2. Human Intentions Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”…(Genesis 11:4)

  4. God Intervenes • The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothingthey plan to do willbe impossible for them…(Genesis 11:6)

  5. Human v God’s Intentions Unfortunately they are unable to use the powers given to them without bringing pain to the world. They are neither wise enough nor good enough to be their own gods. God’s prediction……nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them…does not represent a threat to God…but a threat to humanity…The more power they are able to concentrate, the more harm they will…do to the world.
