Heading • Greeting, • Body: Intro Paragraph: 3-4 sentences explaining your purpose for writing. The number of paragraphs can vary since it is a casual response. No space between the paragraphs but you do have to indent the text to let the reader know it is a new paragraph. In friendly letters, you can omit the address and just specify the date of the letter. As well you might use block format (spaces between paragraphs and no indentation). Friendlyletter

Your name needs to be typed beneath your signature • Possible closings include “sincerely”, and “respectfully.” • In a business letter one should include all the information of the recipient. • In a business letter the register should be formal. General aspects of a bussiness letter
