  2. Scope of Course • Introduction to Bioinformatics and Biocomputing • Basic knowledge and skills in Internet Bioinformatics and BioDatabases • Basic knowledge of key topics in bioinformatics and biocomputing

  3. Scope of Practicals • Prerequisite: Basic Users' Understanding of Basic Internet applications and services available on NUSNET- Email, Telnet, FTP, World Wide Web, Mailing Lists and NewsGroups • NUSNET III IntraNet Bioinformatics Services • Internet Biological Databases • Introduction to Basic HTML • Creation of Biological Website • Creating a simple BioDatabase with form filling HTML commands, input and search capability: WebForms and simple CGI interface to computational software

  4. Assessment • Continual Assessment of Website created during Practical mini-project • MCQ at the end of the course
