Wheat Leaf Rust 2006 • Light in eastern and central Manitoba due to dry conditions but more severe in western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan. • Severity averaged 10.2% (flag leaf coverage) in Manitoba and 5.3% in Saskatchewan
Virulence Analysis • 317 isolates from across Canada (MB+SK = 317, ON = 19, QC = 3, PEI = 16). • 31 virulence phenotypes identified. • Most common were TDBG (50.1%), TDBJ (16.7%), MFDS (5.1%).

Leaf and Stripe Rust 2006 • Low to moderate levels of leaf rust infection. • Dominant leaf rust virulence phenotype TDBG. • Stripe rust epidemic on spring wheat in central Saskatchewan and in Alberta.
