CompanyBackground Abriefhistory eltherm South Africa (Pty) Ltd is a subsidiary of eltherm GmbH, a global heat tracing manufacturer and system design supplier that was founded in Burbach, Germany in 1991. Pioneering work began immediately and within five years the company expanded into larger offices with a substantially bigger production hall. In 1999, a production line was set up to produce PTFE insulated heating cables. The ongoing success in the market of eltherm’s self-regulating heating cables saw the company continue to expand, with production capacity extended to 5,000km of ELKM resistance heating cable and to 4,000m of ELSR self-regulating heating cable. 2010 saw the establishment of eltherm Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd in Singapore as headquarters for the Asia-Pacific region, and in the same year eltherm UK Ltd was set up in Berkshire to create a base in Great Britain. In 2011 the eltherm team celebrated its 20th anniversary and eltherm GmbH separated into two independent companies: eltherm GmbH and eltherm Production GmbH. In the following year eltherm Canada Inc. was set up in Toronto and eltherm (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. was established to create a presence in China. In 2013 the group was taken over by INDUS Holding AG. Products Awiderangeofofferings A summary of the heat tracing and related products we offer: Heating Cables and Heating Tapes Whether pre-assembled or cut-to-length, our self-regulating heating cables, constant wattage heating cables and series cables/tapes are suitable for frost protection as well as for process temperatures up to 1,000°C. Heated Mats and Jackets Our flexible heating mats and jackets are the tailor-made, optimum solution for individual heating requirements, offering a high level of effectiveness and heat distribution of up to 900°C. Heated Hoses Wherever liquids or gasses have to be transported flexibly and without any loss in temperature, our heated hoses offer the perfect solution for temperatures up to 450°C. Temperature Measurement and Control We produce and supply complete controlling systems for measuring, controlling and monitoring any electrical heat tracing application, thus ensuring trouble-free and economic operations. We have been certified to quality management system DIN ISO 9001 for many years, which means we are able to ensure that our customers are offered checked materials, a seamless manufacturing process and top-quality products. Our products for use in potentially explosive atmospheres are checked and approved in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC.
