US Lacrosse Verifications Managing US Lacrosse Memberships Current membership is required by all league organizers (MBSLA, YLM) as it protects them, our association and the players in the event of any claim (injury, conduct, discrimination, etc). Our current NGIN system does not link to US Lax so we have to check individually that memberships are valid thru the last day of the relevant registration season. EACH PLAYER MUST HAVE A VALID US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SEASON. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS PROCESS PRIOR TO ANY SEASON ACTIVITY. http://www.uslacrosse.org/TopNav/Membership/USLacrosseMembership.aspx • Go to US Lacrosse membership page, link above. • Click on Participants • Click on Administrator tab • Click on Membership Validation • Click on Validate Membership At this point you will have to create your own user name and password - keep it handy! You should all have the players US Lacrosse numbers in your TST NGIN registration receipts or in a roster report.
US Lacrosse Verifications Managing US Lacrosse Memberships (cont)… • To validate a person’s membership status, please enter the ID number. • PLEASE NOTE – US Lacrosse membership numbers are now 12 digits long – your search will return no results if 12 digits are not entered. For 7-digit membership numbers, please enter 5 leading 0’s. EXAMPLE - to validate 2683915, you would need to search for 000002683915 • For any player membership expiring before the end of the relevant program/season: Please send a personal email asking them to renew and send you the new confirmation before the player steps on the field for any activity (practice, game, etc). There are often a few issues each season. • Keep a list of your expiration results - they are often different from the date in the player registration as sometimes parents have to guess the date if they can't find the cards or do their own look up. You will need them for tournament rosters, etc.
US Lacrosse Youth Guidebooks • The Youth Rules and Best Practices Guidebooks are intended as educational tools for players, parents, coaches, officials and administrators to help explain the rules and the rationale behind the rules. The best practices included in these books are as important as the rules. They provide guidelines for youth lacrosse organizations to make sure the emphasis is where it should be – on the health and well-being of the children playing the sport, and their enjoyment and development in the game. The combination for all lockers is30-4-38.
EVERY Game…. Scoring: You'll need a scorekeeper from your team for every game. Seek/assign parent volunteers for this. Winning teams are responsible for reporting scores...see YLM Details. CHILL/Sideline Manager:Each team needs a CHILL/Sideline Manager for every game. Seek/assign parent volunteers for this (different from the scorers). ”Keeping other parents from going loopy" - love that description. NOCSAE Balls:ALL TEAMS MUST PROVIDE NOCSAE CERTIFIED BALLS FOR EVERY GAME. ELA has supplied all coaches with these. All of the above need to be in place or refs won't allow play
