  1. Navajo Code Talkers By Zach, Miguel, and Diego

Background Info. • They were established during WWII. • The Americans had realized that the Navajo had an unbreakable language. • Wasn’t written, only spoken. • On January 3, 2012, MacDonald took over the Navajo nation. • The Navajo Code Talkers were normal people that were sent to school to learn English and forget their Navajo language.

  3. Background Info (cont.) • Today there are very little Navajo Code Talkers, and there is a Navajo Code Talkers association, and they are currently working on building a museum. • Keith little, Teddy Draper SR., Bill Toledo, and Samuel Tso are some of the only Navajo Code Talkers alive today in the association.

  4. Background/Historical Significance of the Topic. • The Navajo code talkers have accomplished many things like succeeded in the bombing Iwo jima and other mission that included places like the Guadalcanal and Peleliu.

  5. Reasons Our Exhibit Should Be Included in the Museum. • The Navajo code talkers should be in the museum because they contributed more than anyone, my opinion is because their land was taken away and they still joined the United States Marine Corps for their own reasons.

  6. Understand the Importance of Our Topic. • The reason our group choose the Navajo Code Talkers was because we thought that they deserved more recognition than was showed, and that’s why we hope you understand what they actually did deserved. • After World War II the Navajo Code Talkers were dismissed and never thanked, just by the wave of a salute there job was done.

  7. Understand the Importance of Our Topic (cont.) • They also taught that practice makes perfect, and saved many millions of lives with there encrypted language that never was written only spoken.
