  3. What is there to do at Watermelon Day? • Paint Throwing • Volleyball Tournament • Seed Spitting • EAT WATERMELON • Grill Out • DJ • GREAT PRIZES

  4. All the FOOD! • We will have Hot Dogs • Plenty of Watermelon • Water to Drink

  5. How do you get the Prizes? What are the Prizes? • You get raffle tickets for participating in events and for showing up. • The prizes include: • 32” TV • Xbox 360 • KindleFire • Board Games • Many many more

  6. When/Where is Watermelon Day? • APRIL 27th • 3:00 PM – 6:00PM • AT PAVEK HALL • BE THERE

  8. Wiggle Room • I have built into the budget a lot of “Wiggle Room” • Wiggle Room is just extra money incase prices change • If we end up not using all the money, it goes back into the RHA Fund

  9. Budget • Prizes: $760 • Food: $600 • Music: $153 • Volleyball Tournament: $215 • Advertisement: $100 • Miscellaneous: $263 • Total: $2,091

  11. Food (From Catering Services) • Hot Dogs: $250 • Hot Dog Buns: $75 • Watermelon: $275 • Total: $600 • I cannot give you an exact estimate because Catering does not know all their prices until Watermelon Day is closer. No matter what Food will cost it will not be over $600.

Last years Budget • Watermelon Day and Volleyball Tournament were asked for separately • Watermelon Day 2011: $1,100 • Pavek Hall Government: $500 • RHA: $600 • Volleyball Tournament: $300 • RHA: $300 • Total Requested from RHA in 2011: $900 • In 2012 we are asking for $100 more than in 2011 but we are paying more than double in 2012 than in 2011.

  18. Merging Budgets • In this years budget I combined a lot of things, and this is why I am asking for more money. • I combined the Volleyball Tournament and the Water Bottle budgets into the Watermelon Day Budget • You approved $900 last year for both the Volleyball Tournament and Watermelon Day, Pavek also paid a lot more for the water bottles last year.

  19. Attendance in 2011 • Over 250 people checked in • Many more people never checked in • We are going to move the check-in desk outside with the prizes so more people will check in.
