  1. Carl Orff (1895-1982) German Composer

  2. Life story- • Carl was born on July 10th 1895 to the parents of Earl and Paula Orff. His father was in the military most of his life and his mother was a pianist. Carl was married four times and only had one child with his first wife. His daughter was named Godela and his first wife was named Alice.

  3. Life Story- • Carl was born and raised in Munich, Germany. He had one sister 3 years younger than him named Maria. She was not as interested in music as Carl was which started off his career.

  4. Early life • Carl started off around 5 years old doing puppet shows for kids his age. This is what started him off before he became a composer. He also started writing in a magazine and playing the piano when he was around 10 years old. More and more people started to realize what talent this kid really had

  5. Musician • Carl later became a famous musician. He directed many compositions and made most himself. His most famous is the Catita Carmena Burana. He really liked to perform too younger children because he knew they would appreciate it, therefore the parents started to enjoy it too. All of his compositions were considered a opera.

  7. influence • His major influence in his life was his mother Paula! She taught him how to play the piano and how to use his imagination. His father never really was apart if his life in the military and such, but his mom always was!

  8. Story behind compositions • All of Carl’s composition were mostly for the children so they didn’t have a difficult background! They were meant to make people happy and for them just to enjoy it.
