Objectives • Gain exposure for the Honolulu Pineapples franchise • Show appreciation and bring awareness to the unique Hawaiian native culture • Bring awareness to the growing problem of homelessness in the state of Hawaii, and work with the local Habitat for Humanity to help their endeavors in fixing the problem
SURF for SHELTER • When? • 2014 Pro Bowl Weekend • Saturday, January 25, 2014 • Where? • Kuhio Beachin Honolulu, Hawaii • How much? • Adults (18+): $10 • Kids: $7 • Surfers: $100 • ALL proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity
How will it work? • Age divisions: • 13- 16 • 17-21 • 22 and older • Competition: • 3 rounds • 14 teams (R1) • 7 teams (R2) • 3 teams (R3) • 5 minutes to a round to catch as many waves as you can • Teams: • 2 surfers per team • Team sponsored by NFL player • 14 teams in division • Scoring: • Average both surfers score on team • Highest scores advance to next round
