Classroom News September 9th -13th Mrs. Thomas’ Grade 2 Class + A peek at the week + Mark your calendar * * Math: -We are working on creating patterns with different attributes (ie. shape, color, thickness) Literacy: -We will be creating All About Me stories. -We will work on the Daily 5 components : Read to Self, Read to Someone, and Word Work. -We will work on manipulating the beginning sounds of words to make a new word. September 9th- Magazine Campaign starts September 16th- Meet the Teacher A Note from Your Teacher: n n Last week was a great beginning to the school year! I am very excited to be teaching such an awesome class! I have found them to be kind and considerate towards each other. Here’s to a great year!
