Density • The ratio of the mass of an object compared to the volume • Measured as Mass/Volume • If you know an objects density you can identify it.
Physical Change • A change in matter from one for m to another • Melting • Crushing a can • Freezing water • Sanding wood • Dissolving sugar into water
Chemical Properties • A property of matter that describes a substance’s ability to participate in chemical reactions • Flammability • Reactivity
Chemical Changes • When a substance changes into an entirely new substance • Souring milk • Rust • Tarnishing • Burning
