This study analyzes the evolution of the coast of Río de la Plata and Paraná Delta, including historical advances and erosion rates. The delta has steadily advanced over the years, while the external de la Plata river and Samborombón Bay have experienced erosion.

CONCLUSIONSThe delta of the Paraná river 27 km advanced in the last 250 years(at the present 60-70m/year)In the external de la Plata river, the coast erosion was 30 m in the last 40 years(0,75m/year)In the Samborombón Bay, the erosion was of 70 m in the last 40 years(0,65 m/year)
